Extended Family Session FAQs

Thanks so much for trusting me to capture your extended family session! I’m excited to document some beautiful memories with your crew! Below are answers to common questions to help you feel prepared and know what to expect.

How long will the session last?

Sessions usually last approximately 60 minutes, depending on group size and how many combinations we capture. We’ll photograph the full group, smaller family units, kids, grandparents, and more.

What should we wear?

Coordinated or complementary colors are popular for these sessions (earth tones, neutrals, pastels, or soft jewel tones). Try to avoid large logos. Most of all, I encourage everyone to show their individual style and wear what they are comfortable in!

Can we bring props or meaningful items?

Absolutely. Feel free to bring heirlooms, blankets, or special items that reflect your family. Let me know ahead of time so I can incorporate them naturally into the session.

What if someone is not feeling well?

If someone is sick, just reach out—I will usually allow a complimentary reschedule for illness or weather-related issues.

What if the weather looks bad?

I try to monitor the forecast closely leading up to the session. If we need to reschedule, I’ll contact you before the session to make the call and coordinate a new date if needed.

How many images will we receive?

Your gallery will include 40 or more fully edited, high-resolution images, depending on your group size and the flow of the session.

When will our photos be ready?

Your online gallery will be delivered within approximately 3 weeks. You’ll receive a private link to view, download, and share with family.

Can the whole family access the gallery?

Yes! You’re welcome to share the gallery link with everyone in the group. They can download photos directly—no need to filter everything through one person.

Do you edit the photos?

Yes! All images are professionally edited in my signature style. I’ll handle color, lighting, and basic retouching while keeping everything natural and true to life.
